Its name of Spanish origin – a resonating pun – rightly declares that Mira Me is worth seeing and paying attention to, while serving as a focal point for you to observe around: the authentic image of one of the oldest and most historic cities in the world. Besides, the hotel owners know and love this very city, and would like to share it with both foreigners and Greeks. And it is not only their love for Athens but also for its old architecture. The building, a typical Athenian 1925 house with its store on the ground floor, which has been declared a landmark, thanks to the architect Ioannis Zacharakis – a+ architects, has turned into an urban boutique hotel with seven rooms and two restaurants that express the lively character of this unique neighbourhood and bridge the classic tradition with the urban, modern spirit.

There are seven rooms, each with its own balcony, with two of them overlooking the Acropolis. The idea was to recreate the atmosphere of the time: the floors were covered with wooden French herringbone and the plaster decorations and the rosettes on the ceilings were reconstructed. Modern lamps give the space a twist. Organza, linen and velvet are used to dress the windows and furniture, many of which were produced for the occasion, with the colour palette moving in pale, earthy and grey tones. As for the bathrooms, they maintain the marble look of the time, but equipped with the latest technology. In the corridors, works by contemporary Greek artists such as Adamakos, Fasianos, and Parmakelis set the tone. The general feeling is that of calm luxury and essential elegance, incorporating the past and the present, the classic and the modern, the local character expressed through a cosmopolitan spirit.
